Located in the Savoie region of France, in Between the famous resorts of Val Thorens and Courchevel, you will find the ski area of Meribel; “The heart of the Trois Vallees” (Three Valleys). Site of the 1992 Olympic Games, Meribel offers plenty of skiing for the entire family. The valley of Meribel alone offers 65 miles of groomed runs ranging from the humblest beginner to the extreme expert. Cross-country skiers will find plenty to keep them occupied with the various tracks available around the village. Non-skiing activities are also plentiful as evidenced by Meribels’ recognition as the “ski resort for the non-skier”. Non-skiing activities include the Olympic Ice Arena and indoor Olympic swimming pool located in the center of town, horse-drawn sleigh rides, bus trips to the Olympic Village in Albertville, or take a day trip to Annecy, also known as the Venice of France.
