One of the first ski resorts in the world, the Swiss ski resort of Davos is also the highest town in Europe and the largest ski resort in Switzerland.
Feted as the "cradle" of skiing in Switzerland, Davos is spread across six separate ski areas. Each area is distinct from the next, giving the region a sense of something new each day.
Davos Klosters ski resort is located in the canton Graubuenden (Grisons) of southeast Switzerland, close to the border with Austria. The nearest village is Landquart, and a larger town, Chur, with a population of over 38,000 residents.
