Mont-Sainte-Anne is a ski resort in eastern Canada, located in the town of Beaupré, Quebec, about 25 miles northeast of Quebec City. The mountain is part of the Laurentian mountain chain and has a summit elevation of 2,625 ft above sea level with a vertical drop of 2,051 ft. For day skiing, there are 71 available downhill ski trails covering 44 miles on the southern, northern, and western sides of the mountain. For night skiing, there are 19 trails covering 9.4 miles of the southern part of the mountain only. It is the highest vertical for night skiing in Canada. The average natural snowfall at the summit is 187 in.
Stoneham Mountain Resort is a ski resort, located north of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, in the municipality of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. It has a peak elevation of 2,075 feet above sea level and a vertical drop of 1,380 feet. There are 42 trails covering 820 acres over four mountains. Nineteen trails are available for night skiing, consisting of the largest network of night skiing in Canada. The resort is owned by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.
Le Massif de Charlevoix, known as just Le Massif, is a ski area in Quebec, Canada, northeast of Quebec City and directly overlooking the St. Lawrence River. The Le Massif ski area is located in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, Charlevoix, Quebec, a 50-minute drive from Quebec City. Its vertical drop is 2,526 ft, the highest in Eastern Canada and east of the Rockies. It is one of the few ski areas that is accessible from both the base and summit. The skiing season usually lasts from early December to late April. Le Massif de Charlevoix has an above-average annual snowfall compared to other ski areas in Eastern Canada with a five-year average of 250 inches. While the snowpack at the summit can exceed 90 inches in a typical winter, the base is near sea level and can quickly begin to melt by April. La Charlevoix, the steepest trail with a pitch of 64%, is home to the only alpine training center east of the Rockies for Canada's athletes. The resort stretches from the top of the escarpment (actually a half-graben) to the bottom where the Saint Lawrence River flows past.
